Martha Buelt, MA, is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach for individuals, managers, and teams. Martha accompanies her clients as they learn to name, claim, and invest in their talents so that they can develop and aim their strengths toward achieving their personal and/or team goals. She also equips organizational leaders and managers to create and sustain a strengths-based organizational culture.

Martha offers strengths education workshops/seminars and customized training for businesses, nonprofits, college campuses, and churches.  She also equips managers and small group facilitators to facilitate long-term strengths development in their organizations.

Martha has developed and written strengths-based curriculum and resources. Her written resources include:

  • Strengths development seminar materials for young adult college students.

  • Developing Strength-Based Project Teams, which equips project managers to begin developing strengths-based project teams. Martha co-authored Developing Strengths-Based Project Teams with Connie Plowman, PMP®.

Martha also is a content contributor to Contemporary Project Management written by Tim Kloppenborg and others, and published by Cengage.  In this book, she provided content for transitioning a project team to a new project by capturing the team’s collective strengths using a “challenge tracking” action plan.  Using this technique, strengths-based project teams finish the project strong and start the next project even stronger!

Martha's undergraduate work included the study of sociology and business.  She then studied accounting and business law, passed the CPA exam, and worked as a nonprofit accountant.  While working as an accountant and volunteering in her community, she learned to value the talents of the people working with her.  As she worked and volunteered, she became aware of the need for businesses and volunteer organizations to offer more opportunities for personal talent and strengths development, which also maximizes organizational members' collective talents and strengths to meet team and organizational goals.

Martha went on to earn her Master of Arts Degree from Saint John’s University in Minnesota. While working on her master’s degree, she attended several Gallup CliftonStrengths® trainings and integrated strengths philosophy with her graduate work.  She now uses her education, Gallup training, and career and volunteer experiences as she provides strengths development opportunities to individuals and organizations.

Martha believes that strengths development is essential for individuals, communities, businesses, and all organizations.  The strengths development process equips people to use their talents and strengths in all aspects of their lives, whether at work, engaging in service opportunities, practicing one's faith, caring for one's family and community, and/or shaping society for the common good.

Martha offers strengths education for individuals, groups, and teams.  Martha also offers reduced individual coaching rates for young adult college students.
